The Davie EDC: Supporting Balanced Growth
The Davie Economic Development Council (DEDC) works to increase capital investment, work-force creation and retention, income generation, a stable and diversified tax base, and economic growth in the Town of Davie.

The DEDC is supported by its members – a coalition of businesses, government, educational and social organizations, and the area chamber of commerce. As an organization and through the active involvement of its members, the DEDC sponsors events, organizes issue-oriented task forces, and communicates its economic development efforts to the business community, as well as local and state governments.

The DEDC calls on the expertise and experience of its members to provide confidential and public support, advice and strategies to companies expanding in or relocating to the Town of Davie. Through its efforts, the organization promotes balanced development of the remaining commercial land in Davie, and encourages the appropriate redevelopment of gentrified areas in Davie’s downtown.

The DEDC supports business growth in Davie by also working in cooperation with government agencies and business organizations, including the Broward Alliance, the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce, the Davie Merchants and Industrial Association, the Davie Community Redevelopment Agency, and the South Florida Educational Center.

This dynamic combination of cooperation, communication and organization gives Davie the advantage of a healthy business climate, outstanding quality of life, and positive economic growth.
